2017 marks the ten year anniversary of Scenario Architecture, to commemorate this we have created a timeline showing our most notable work to date. We are currently holding an exhibition at the DreamSpace Gallery from 2nd June – 16th June you can find all the details here.
In 2008 we further understood and embraced our approach and method of working.
We were fortunate enough to take part in the International Furniture Fair in Milan where, in collaboration with a group of university colleagues, we displayed our OR project, a Photo-reactive Installation. OR was a step in exploring the possibilities of photo-reactive materials in the field of architecture and product design. The hues generated by the photo-reactive surface are indicators of changes in weather and daylight, a dynamic architectural skin that can be used on building exteriors.
We had limited funds and relied on a sponsorship from plastic, photoreactive pigments and water jet cutting companies; we did anything possible to make it happen and gained interest from multiple publications as a result of this project.
As a young practice consisting, at this point, of the two of us, we started to establish contacts with local creative people who wanted a beautiful space but could not afford it. We started to plan and develop ways to achieve a great design with limited means, using a hybrid between advanced digital design, and simple handcrafting techniques, which are deployed on site by standard builders.
